Music City Kartplex — Attraction in Shelbyville

If you always wanted something more out of your regular go kart experience, if you just never got that satisfying rush at other go kart tracks then MCK is the answer. I’ve enjoyed go karting throughout my life and it was always fun but not something I could have fun talking with others about afterwards. THIS is a whole new level! I felt the adrenaline surge at every turn especially the straight away where you just floor it and hope to cut some off your time. Other go karts you’re pretty much racing as normal and that’s fine but at Music City Kartplex it’s actually encouraged that you’re racing your best time. Which at the speeds you can hit here would be ridiculously dangerous with how competitive people can be so I appreciate that. I paid for what I think is a worthwhile experience for me and my best friend, 3 races of 8 laps(4mins). Let me tell you if my buddy hadn’t been there and been so excited I would have been tapped by the second race. I was exhausted by the first due to my first time dealing with all the safety harness and such and the nerves, but I’m so glad I pushed through. I finally got my best lap under 50 seconds. Came here with my husband and teenage son and we had such a blast! A legit go kart track with great new equipment! The place is very well organized and everyone there seems to be very much on top of things. I felt like there was clear safety protocol in place and all the employees were focused on smooth transitions from one race to the next and ensuring everyone’s kart was in good working order. The equipment was new and I watched them thoroughly clean helmets and neck braces after each use. Highly impressed and glad we found this fun new thing to do around middle tn!

My boys and I went to race today, I really thought I would do better in my head, but it is no fault of the company. We had a wonderful time, my oldest was able to drive himself and my youngest was stuck with me. We all had a blast though, Tyler was the one who helped us, he was very big on the safety briefing and made sure we stayed comfortable the entire time. I did pay twice and went back to ass if they could credit my account and the owner Jeffrey was so kind and helpful making that process happen, along with Lucas at the desk.
