I held my wedding at Silo Farms on June 22, 2024, and the venue is absolutely stunning. The grounds are well maintained, and the lake adds a beautiful touch. Both the outdoor and indoor spaces were beautiful. Our caterer couldnât stop praising the kitchen. The bride and groom suites were a great addition, offering privacy and security with locks to keep belongings safe.
However, there are a few points I'd like to mention/ suggest. First, the venue could benefit from adding higher hooks in the bridal suites to keep dresses from touching the ground. As well as ensuring the ceilings are cleaned, as there were quite a few spiderwebs in the bridal rooms. Secondly, communication was a major issue and a significant source of stress. While Kristina was very responsive and informative, communication suffered when she took some time away from her position. I had to repeatedly email, call, and text to get answers, and it wasnât until 10 days before my wedding that I finally received a response regarding bar services, despite my numerous efforts. I strongly recommend that the venue hires someone dedicated specifically to handling communication.
For those considering this venue, although itâs listed as accommodating 154-200 people with tables and chairs, I had around 130 guests with 15 tables, leaving space for a dance floor and food inside, and it still felt tight. I believe this venue is better suited for a smaller guest count if you want all of your seating inside. Also, if you have a large bridal party (I had seven bridesmaids), I found it helpful to use both suites for the bridesmaids to avoid overcrowding while getting ready.
Overall, the venue is perfect for a smaller wedding. The good news is that all of my concerns are fixable. If they improve communication, I would have no hesitation in recommending this venue for...
Read moreMy daughter & SIL fell in love with the venue upon our tour a year before their wedding. We were told that inside would comfortably fit 200 guests. Not. Even. Close. They got the package that allowed us to have Friday after 4pm until Sun morn at 11am. It was great to have extra time to setup, have their rehearsal & dinner as well as time to get cleaned the morn after. The bride & groom dressing areas were also perfect. Downfalls--nothing came with the huge price tag. Bar & staff extra. Paying for the bar covers only certain alcohols. We upgraded everything & had to request a certain wine not on their vendor list as it's what they wanted for the toast. No caterer affiliated--another cost. Cannot move some barrels around as they must remain where they have them. The biggest thing was the fire hazard getting 30 tables & 200 ppl inside. Ppl couldn't move around at all so they started spilling outside where we had to have the dance floor & DJ as inside was not doable. In any way. Communication was good at first but the closer we got, it was sparce & hard to reach anyone. That caused panic a few times. All in all-- it turned out beautiful but they should certainly be more honest on the tour about space limitations & what's truly covered...
Read moreVery small event, advertised 90 booths, had nowhere near that, doubt it was half that! Charged $5 for parking. Then the VERY Exceedingly long wait time in the hot sun for food was ridiculous, especially for pre-cooked, pre-packaged products! Honestly very poorly thought out all around! Cashier was under roof with outdoor fans while all customers were sun and heat exposed! Would NOT recommend, or return EVER.
Suggestions: have more than one cashier, establish line under porch or put up canvas shades to protect the client. I literally got a deep sunburn just by waiting in the food line! If not for my daughter I wouldn't have bothered. Very very VERY poorly thought out! LOTS of room for improvements! LOTS!
Advertising made it appear there would be lots of food vendors, offerings but NOT TRUE! Literally only the Silo offered food and it was limited to beef or pork!
If you do decide to visit I recommend eating before you go! Not worth the time, cost, the sunburn, or the...
