The winery is beautiful. The tasting room has a rectangular bar in the center made of live wood and an open air feel where garage doors blend in to the décor of a room reminiscent of a basement cellar with exposed beams.
While the atmosphere was extremely pleasing, the wines merely okay. The best wine was a Riesling. It was clean and crisp with good acidity. But the other wines left more to be desired. The reds felt as though they were aged in steel vats, not having a chance to breath through wooden barrels. The reds were not smooth to the tongue; nor did the berries come out on the tongue.
Overall, if you are looking for a nice environment to sit and drink with MANY other people, then this may be the place for you. If you are like me and you seek good wine first, conversation about the wine and vineyard second, and ambiance third, this you may be better off trying...
Read moreLovely setting, lovely staff. Wines are hit or miss, all on the sweeter side (even those listed as dry). Delicious (overpriced) charcuterie to purchase, no outside food allowed. Tasting took about 45 minutes, standing on a concrete floor while our guide served other parties in addition to ours. You cannot consume wine you purchase on the premises, there is a 2 glass maximum for individual purchase per guest. On the way in you even queue up for a host to allow you to enter. Overall the most exhausting winery experience I've had in years. It would be much more... expected? if it were just a corner of a larger farm store. This is not a place to relax and share a bottle with friends. The Riesling was well balanced, the Muscat very good, and the Chardonnay terrible. We weren't offered the option to do a tasting of their premium selections but were told of...
Read moreWent here with family with hopes of a fun Sunday afternoon activity. Unfortunately, the manager on duty was very abrupt when we entered stating that we can sit at only certain 4 top tables because of our party size, but then pulled over chairs himself to accommodate a large party at the only smaller table available. When he saw us trying to sit, he said that “we need to be quicker” and can’t sit at the larger picnic tables that would’ve easily accommodated that larger party. He then cut us off after one drink even though the menu states a two drink limit. We even Ubered and planned on staying here for a longer period of time, but unfortunately we had no choice but to leave. Very disappointed and feel very misleaded from the website and the image they portray of...
