Great place to camp if your into rustic camping. Fishing is amazing, anything from bluegill to muskie. Early morning and evenings are best for fishing. The biggest downside if the county workers that come thru and harass people for there own personal enjoyment??!! Idk what there issues are but I think the county should hire people persons if there are interacting with the public. Also be very cautious when putting your money in the pay tube. I paid for 5 days in advance, somebody come thru and stole the money out of the pipe. They didn't believe me that we paid. I had to pay again for 5 days. I was very upset. I video putting money in the envelope and dropping it in the tube now everything so this doesn't happen again. Then I saw on the news that somebody went around and stole money out of a few different state parks in the area and the county still wouldn't reimburse me or at least give me a few days for free. Great sites and two locations to choose from - the mainland and the "island" (more like a peninsula, but still surrounded by the lake and fun for the kids). The lake is beautiful and there are multiple sites with direct access. The only downside was the mosquitos, so bring your bug spray.
