My 8 y/o twin boys loved this place! The replica of the B-17 with mannequins in place was great. Behind the plane replica was a memorial with plaques naming the crew.
My youngest twin wants to go into the military then become a police officer. When I explained to him what the plaques meant at the bottom of the steps leading up to the platform, my little boy kneeled down on one knee put his chin on his fist & bowed his head. When he stood up I asked him why he did that. Those beautiful brown eyes looked at me and he said I just felt like I needed to.

I appreciate the history and the reason for the park in this location (a WWII crash site.) I am glad the memorial exists for the families of those who died in the crash as well as the memorial for local soldiers lost in other wars.
