Great museum with very friendly and helpful docents working to ensure your visit is top notch! We were the first to use their new tablet information units spread throughout the facility and they were extremely helpful and very user friendly. Simply tap a button and a video recording comes to life (the staff members made each recording) explaining things that are on display nearby. Many of these tablets were spread throughout the displays, making our visit even more informative. There are far too many displays to take in during a single visit so we will need to come back. Excellent work from everyone, and they even have a Tweet (T-37) aircraft on the floor for all to see! Many, many items are there to be touched making it very kid friendly as well. Outstanding full size displays of life at the base when it was first established. If you are in the area this is a MUST SEE location for military/history buffs! Kudos to the...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing museum. The depth of the exibits showcasing all aspect of military life was deeply moving. Some of the information shared about military aviation was mind blowing. Especially for someone like my self who has had a deep interest in military aviation and studied about it since i was a young boy. Lots of great things to learn here. You could spend several days in this museum and not see it all. The volunteers were incredible. Friendly and knowledgeable and took time to share and point out the little treasures in this place one could easily overlook. My cheeks hurt from the smile i wore for the entire couple hours i was here. Definitely will return. One of the best museums ive ever been too. This place for me was better then even the Smithsonian air and space...
