Where do I start?? I have never felt so disrespected in all of my life. If you don’t serve African Americans, just say that!. This was my first experience wine tasting and I expected it to be more enjoyable. Clearly, this was not the place for me to have that expectation from. As soon as I walked in, I greeted them just to ignored. So, I greeted them again. Just to get the impression I shouldn’t be there. I planned to sit outside at one of the tables which was the purpose of my phone call prior to arriving to check if reservations were needed. I was told no that they are open until 6pm. After arriving and not being greeted, I asked to sit outside at a table so I can order a lunch box and sip on my wine but was told No. I was informed by the server that I can stand there at the bar and wine taste😏. At that point, my sister and I were over it and ready to leave. Instead, we stood at the bar tasted the wine that was poured. Then I asked my sister did she want any cheese and crackers or some hummus, that’s when both of the people at the bar looked at each other like I had no right to ask her if she wanted a lunch box or cheese & crackers. It became so uncomfortable that my sister didn’t finish the wine she was tasting. So, we purchased two bottles of wine and left! We usually have get togethers with other nurses and drink wine 🍷. We would have purchased three bottles of each of the flavors we enjoyed but uhh No thank you. I’d rather take my business elsewhere. Ultimately, Silos winery will never have to worry about me going there...

I've been to a few of these fruit wineries across the US, from Florida to Maine, and I always thought its the whole picture. The location, being on vacation etc. But usually the wines are honestly not that good. This place is different, with them offering great wines. I was honestly blown away with how good the fruit wine can be in the right hands.
It got me thinking, if we take grapes and make great wine, why not blackberry for example. Well. They did it. The wines are exceptional. And I like wine. Lived in Central California, spent time in Bordeaux. I am not a wine expert. But I like good wine and love their offerings.
The sparkling blackberry is incredible, the cassis a rival to any port. And the dry blackberry is as good a red wine as any 'grape'.
They also offer small plates to snack on, that are simple, but good accompaniments and are very reasonable. There is no gouging going on here.
Staff super friendly, knowledgeable and patient.
All in all, one of the better all round...
Read moreSo we came here a few years back and we loved it so much. I had planned on taking my husband to a different winery for Father’s Day, but he has mentioned white silo so I booked the Father’s Day brunch here instead and we were not disappointed. The wine is delicious there’s something for everyone! The food was AMAZING, though i wish there was a bit more of it as we went up to replenish our plates and the food was already gone. But other than that minor thing we had a great time. The owner(I believe) checked on us multiple times during our visit, and two ladies that worked there came around and offered to take a family photo (which we never really get one of all 4 of us) the live music was very enjoyable and the musician was taking requests the whole time which was great! They were very family friendly and overall just a wonderful experience. From great service , ambiance, and delicious food and wine! We will definitely...
