Updated after 4 years: STILL the best pumpkin patch and my favorite U-pick flowers! The sunflowers, dahlias and zinnias are bright and beautiful and so fun to pick, and at only $0.50 per stem of dahlia or zinnia, and $1 per gorgeous sunflower stem (that will last ages farm to vase), you can fill your house without going broke. This is a blissful way to unwind and enjoy - it's impossible to feel anything but happy here! Beautiful views, nice family, great place! ☆Tip: bring a container for dahlias to go into water right when you pick them so they don't wilt. I brought my friend who has Altzheimer's to pick flowers yesterday and it was the BEST TIME! She doesn't go anywhere without her little dog which limits the places we can go, but they allow nice dogs on a leash so we could do it and were very sweet when I called that night after discovering she'd snuck their clippers home under my nose and I couldn't return them until the next day. Everything aspect of this farm is A+, welcoming and enjoyable for all people. ☆ ADA note: U-pick dahlias & zinnias grow right along the maintained gravel driveway, which is flat & accessible to most people with limited mobility. (4 years ago): AMAZING pumpkin patch with real pumpkins on the vine! I recommend bringing your clippers if you want to cut your own, or choose one of the hundreds of pumpkins not attached for your wagon, or from the many available right at the farmstand. Beautiful sunflower patch makes for great pictures and wonderful u-pick. Pumpkins are less expensive here - we got 6 good pumpkins for $20. Truly, a beautiful place and fun for all ages. Bring...
Read moreThis is the best pumpkin patch I've found! It has no entrance fee and no rides or bouncy houses. What it does offer is a delightful, old fashioned, pumpkin patch experience. You can walk right out into the field and cut your pumpkin off the vine! My kids loved being out in the field and picking their own pumpkins. There is also a small sunflower field to take pictures in, a picnic area and a small store offering fall decorations and local honey. If you don't want to walk out in the field there are plenty of lovely pumpkins already picked and waiting for you by the store. I love that they sell a variety of pumpkins, including some pie pumpkins and some rare varieties for eating as well as a variety of colors and shapes for decorating.Their prices are way better than the grocery store too, so it's worth shopping here even if you don't want the full pumpkin picking experience. Wagons, hand washing and pumpkin washing stations are available. Bring your own cutting sheers and some gloves...
Read moreThis is by far my family's favorite pumpkin patch! We've come here every year for over a decade, and each time I find so many awesome fall treasures. All the conveniences you can think of are here to help you have the best pumpkin patch experience, from wagons to tow your enormous finds out of the field, to hoses for washing the mud off your, well, everything. It's not an "attraction" with traffic jams and pricy nightmares like overrun hay mazes, long lines for a tractor ride, and destroyed corn labyrinths. If that's what you're looking for, Papa's Pumpkin Patch isn't your kind of place. This is good, old-fashioned fun with fields, dirt, and amazing service from a family owned farm. The best part? I can spend my money on actual pumpkins, gourds, fresh cider and pies, homemade candles, kettle corn popped on-site, and all the other amazing things here at the best prices around. My kids are teenagers and still love coming and hunting for the...
