Four Corners Visitor Center — Attraction in Shiprock Agency

I had an incredible experience visiting the Four Corners Visitors Center! Standing in four states at once is such a unique and fun sensation — it’s like being at the center of the world. The view surrounding the monument is breathtaking, with expansive desert landscapes, colorful rock formations, and a clear blue sky that perfectly highlights the natural beauty of the area.

The site was bustling when we arrived, but everyone was courteous and patient, which made for an enjoyable visit. We appreciated how everyone took turns and waited their turn to snap pictures, creating a friendly and respectful atmosphere--however, some people took quite a bit of time that a few were visibly frustrated. 🤷‍♂️

The $8 admission fee per person was reasonable for such a memorable experience, and the nearby restrooms were convenient.

The center is well-maintained and open from 8am to 8pm, giving visitors plenty of time to explore. Just a heads-up to bring cash, as not all vendors accept cards — we found that helpful to keep in mind. The surrounding environment is stunning, with the arid but vibrant desert landscape stretching for miles, offering fantastic photo opportunities and a chance to soak in the tranquility of the southwestern wilderness.

Overall, the Four Corners Visitors Center is a fun spot to visit, for anyone looking to stand in four states at once 😁

Unique place to visit! Definitely worth the drive. The vendors have some beautiful hand made items and the food trucks added a nice little snack for the time there.
