Champlain Orchard is absolutely fantastic! From the moment you arrive, it’s clear this is more than just an orchard—it’s a full experience. The store is filled with local goods like apple butter, fresh fruit, jellies, jams, and more. The café is cozy and delicious, serving finger foods, soups with bread, pies, and of course, their famous donuts.

Behind the store, there’s a wonderful outdoor hangout space with picnic tables, a beautiful sunflower garden, and even a playground for the kids—such a thoughtful touch for families. Their cider flights are excellent, and the staff is super helpful in guiding you to flavors you’ll love.

Pick-your-own is also top-notch here. They provide a clear map showing where different fruits are located and what’s in season. You can even drive right up near the orchard rows, making it easy for families. The sheer number of apple trees is incredible, and once you’re up in the orchard, the views of the countryside are breathtaking.

The orchard and apples were good. We went mid-week with the whole family as that's when our days off coincided. Got there around 10am. The lady at the counter was nice and said by the time we finish picking, the cider donuts will be ready (we could smell them when we got there). When we got back, (1hr picking) there was a different lady at the counter. She said they were out of donuts. A bit sus. Neither the website, nor facebook page say anything about donuts only on certain days. Either the first counter lady lied to get our business, or second lady didn't want to go out of her way to get them from the bakery part of the place. This might seem petty, but when planning a family outing, while trying to decide where to go, we all agreed cider donuts is must for...

Shoreham is so lucky to have this beautiful gem in their own backyard! I love this orchard so much. The variety of plums and apples is quite impressive here. The PYO experience is such a memorable part of our Vermont trip each year. Champlain Orchards is full of apples, plums and berries of astounding cultivars and they are just lovely and well kept. Other than fruit I recommend the apple wine ciders are quite refreshing. Really disappointed that we missed out on the plums due to this years cold snap that hit them this spring. Also missed out on Ashmead’s Kernel, really hoped it would ripen before we had to head back home. Don’t miss this one, check them...

This orchard is awesome, staff is very friendly, and has a lot of variety. They seem to have many more options this late in October than other orchards I called. The apples, maple walnuts, apple pies, and cider donuts are all delicious. I usually toss the side crust when I eat pie, but their crust is amazing! Easily the best pie crust I've ever had. We are excited to go back in the summer for all their other fruits. It was worth the 2 hour drive we made and we will definitely be back! (Pic of pie is once we got home and added some of the maple walnuts we bought there and ice cream)
