The place on the inside looks nice. It's cute that they have a little daycare and little chairs for little people. I went there to do my taxes with AARP and I had three kids with me. I asked the lady at the front desk if I could move the little kid chairs over to where I was sitting and she said no. I thought that was ridiculous nobody was using the chairs I wanted my kids next to me on the other end of the hall and she said they would be used by the daycare but they weren't being used which is why I asked. Then I had this kids sit on the floor next to me coloring and I think they were being pretty good considering they weren't doing anything special and I'm sure they didn't want to be there while I finished doing my taxes. I went and talked to them a few times just the times quiet down cuz I could hear them from the room. And everyone in the AARP room said that they were being very good and quiet nobody else had a problem with them. But the lady at the front desk proceeded to come yell at me and point her grubby fingers in my face and tell me that the kids are being bad and that they have to come sit near me so they came in the room and sat near me and then everybody in the room loved one lady gave him a bag of candy another guy pointed out that they had candy in the room for people with kids they had candy and snacks they played with each other they played like he and games while I finished up. Everyone in the room love them I didn't like that the lady told me I couldn't move the chairs and I didn't like that she yelled at me like if I was going to the principal's office I didn't like that they were other kids there and it's a kid facility and she was being rude towards me...

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to formally report repeated incidents of unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from a park supervisor operating truck number 23370. Today, April 23, 2025, the situation escalated to an unacceptable level.

We are a group of soccer players who have respectfully used this park for over 10 years without incident. However, this supervisor has recently started targeting us unfairly, asking us to leave even before the park closes, and doing so with an unnecessarily aggressive and rude tone.

Today, without any warning or communication, the supervisor stood in the middle of our game, disrupting play in an inappropriate and disrespectful manner. This is not only unprofessional, but also completely unnecessary given that we have always complied with park rules and guidelines.

We respectfully ask that this matter be looked into seriously. We want to continue using the park peacefully as we have for the past decade. This supervisor’s behavior is creating a hostile and unwelcoming environment for our community.

Please ensure this complaint is escalated to someone above him who can investigate and address this issue...

Virginia’s 1st Suburban Pump Track: Deep Run Park 📍Henrico, VA This 165 acre park has so much for families to enjoy! Deep Run has a pond, 3.4 miles of *paved* trails, two separate playgrounds, picnic shelters, a basketball court, soccer fields, and multiple open spaces. It also has the *first* pump track in central Virginia. Anyone can maneuver the course regardless of age or skill level. I’ve seen children 2-3 years old on balance bikes riding the course. You’re supposed to shift your body weight (*pumping*) to propel yourself through the course. My son is 5.5 years old & he LOVES it. As you can see, he does pedal 😉 👀 Want to know more about *7 Bike Trails for Kids around Richmond* ?! Since they have renovated the playgrounds, the park received a much-needed improvement. I have been coming to the park for many, many years with my family. There are two lakes, multiple bike trails/ trails in general, a couple playgrounds and various soccer/ football fields. The gravel, forest paths are especially nice places to take a walk in. There is also a recreation center, as well as restrooms and water fountains scattered throughout the park. Parking is available in three main areas. There are gazebos and areas with roofs which people hold outdoor parties which have grill(s) near them. You can also go fishing* in certain areas, but be sure to read the signs/ have the license(s) if required. It is a good park for taking in nature, reading, walking, biking, hosting celebrations, walking/ playing with your dog, fishing and letting your kids play on the newly renovated playgrounds. Benches are located throughout the park. The park also holds events as well from time to time. One thing to note is that I love when you can occasionally find colorful RVA rocks hidden throughout the park.

Mainly easy, level trails for hiking w some elevation near the fenceline. Once you get off the paved or gravel paths, you will enjoy the soft pine needle floor. I prefer the forest trails over the paved ones. They can be rooty, so be careful. Do your best to seek the outside path to catch the perimeter loop trail that circumnavigates the entire park. You will scoot the fencelines and nearby apts. & homes, and the creek. The shaded trails wind through stands of pine and deciduous trees. It's all quite pleasant & quiet, while a good workout. By the time I'd finished, I had hiked over 4 miles and almost 1.5 hrs by walking the interconnecting trails as well. If you want to hike just the outer loop, it's around 2.5 mi. Many ppl prefer the paved walkways. There's several great playgrounds for young families, picnic shelters, maintained restrooms, and playing fields for soccer and even cricket! Great place to come year round.
