Melvin's Landing — Attraction in Shreveport

No where does it say you have to pay for parking yet as soon as you park they tell you.I don't mind paying but there should at least be a sign where you can see it. Also, there is a handicap space near the office that they won't let you use yet they don't have it blocked off (???) which makes no sense, not to mention it is an ADA violation for them to do that and it looks like they don't meet the ADA requirements regarding handicap parking spaces anyway. On a very hot day we had to move our vehicle and park further away, something not easy to do when you've got 2 disabled people. Also, the Cross lake Queen boat ride was long and boring. Boat travels slowly and it's incredibly hot. One and a half hours of sitting in plastic lawn chairs and no presentation or narration by the boat crew at all. You have no idea what to expect. Boat troubles with the Queen River Boat battery. Will try again another day. I am putting one star for now because the tour was not able to take place for the 5pm tour. Boat ride was okay. Won't do it again, but recommend to folks who like to look at people's houses on the water that live extravagant lives.
