The park is a vibrant place where people of many interests can come and have fun at! For kids, there are so many different playgrounds scattered around the park and each one is unique in having options of varying types. Then for the fishers, there are so many places for you! You have the little pond when you first get into the park and then you have other little stream-type places all over the park. For the picnickers, there is a shelter house in almost every corner, and spot in the park. And they are NICE shelter houses to! There’s a great use in color in some of them as well. For the hikers, there are trails that take you further into the woods surrounding the park and you get better views of the river in one of them I believe. For the people who just like to take walks, there are many trails around the park that are smooth dirt and get you close to the water to look at the fish darting around and the bullfrogs croaking in the water weeds. And lastly, for photographers, it is absolutely amazing how a park could provide such amazing scenery! Especially when you are hiking along the trails in the trees! I believe I’ve gotten some stunning pictures, though I know they could be better with a professional camera. But, in conclusion, this park has a bit of everything and it all comes together in a beautiful way. Just watching the kids having fun at the playgrounds, the fishers silently watching their lines in wait of a hungry fish, the couple walking together along a path shaded by brilliant trees, and the hiker, taking in all the sights from up in the trees. It is a truly spectacular place and I hope, if you ever get the chance, that you can come out and enjoy it as I do. Thank you...
Read moreToday I am taking some pics at Kastners Patch in Tawawa Park. Most people know Tawawa Park as just that, a park. However, this park is more than just a park. It's a huge park w/ little Parks throughout. And you get to see all these little Parks while cruising through the winding up hill, downhill roads. The park also has a pond for fishing. And creeks throughout to wade in. It has raccoons, birds, squirrel, skunk, chipmunk and even deer that you're most likely to see. It has walking trails that wind around for hrs. Cycling and hiking are two other forms of exercise you can get here. It has jungle Jim's all over so children will never be bored here. Picnic areas and BBQ. Trees everywhere which makes it very scenic. Beautiful. There's an old red bridge that's been there as far as I can remember. I still like to ride through and honk my horn. Children love that. Tawawa also has The Girl Scout area in the back which is very pretty, gorgeous in my opinion. The tallest, whitest trees. I love when the bark falls off and thier white underneath.. Or if they're just born that way lol Anyway, I just wanted to give more credit to Tawawa Park for being so many things all rolled into one huge park. Not alot of parks you can cruise through and see so many things. Oh, let's not forget the Porto pottys throughout. And also bench's on the walking and hiking trails. So here's some pics of Kastners Patch. It's one of the little Parks inside...
Read moreLove Tawawa Park. My close HS friends & I have been going here since our high school years (2005-2009), and actually just met back up here at Ferguson Circle Shelter for a little reunion a couple weeks ago. It's a gorgeous park with lots of trees, trails, creeks, playgrounds, shelters and benches along the way everywhere. It is a little confusing to find certain shelter houses, even if you download a map, as there are a lot of off roads and trails. Even if you're somewhat familiar with the park, it can be hard to find certain ones that are deeper at the heart of the park. But it is doable. Only downfall is the only restrooms there are are Port-a-Johns. No buildings with toilets and sinks that I have ever seen or come across. It's still worth the visit though for sure. Especially in the fall, the leaves on the trees are absolutely beautiful. I go here often to take my cousin's family photos almost at the end of summer /...
