A Wonderful & Charming Winery. The Owners are polite & friendly. I first went there last year for a Sip-N-Shop. Have been back a few times and I have received consistent service and delicious wine. I did notice a one star review just recently by a woman. I just happen to be on the porch when she came there with her husband, child and huge dog. There are signs posted that Dogs are not allowed unless they are service animals. I was there to drink wine and enjoy myself, I was not there to have dog hair flying around on the deck getting in my Wine, Cheese and Crackers. There are fans turning on the deck many times as well. It was drizzling that day and I could smell the dog as I was on the front porch. We dog owners know when dogs get wet they have an odor unless its right after a bath. I did see an employee come out and offer them a table on the grass under an umbrella which they took. The owner was being polite and accommodating even though they purposely ignored the No Dog Policy. I have three dogs myself and I do not force them on places who have a no dog policy. I am quite appalled at that woman's derogatory comment about it being a racial issue and they do not reccomend the place. Service animals are highly trained and safe. Other dogs can be unpredictable. I've been bit before at a bar/eatery by a so called nice dog and I'm glad the owner asked them to please take the dog off the porch. People need to be held accountable when they spout poor reviews just because they did not get their way. Go see for yourself what a nice...

The winery is scenic and could be a nice place to spend an afternoon. Unfortunately, our experience was lacking quite a bit. We reserved an outdoor table one day in advance because of our party size. We arrived on the day of our reservation and had to wait at least twenty minutes to even talk to the person behind the counter because they were understaffed (only one person working). When she eventually came to us, she said that our reserved table was taken over by another group of people and they told her they were doing it! She didn't prevent them from sitting at our table or even offer to go tell them to move. It wouldn't have been a big deal, but all of the other seating was taken, and my grandmother has difficulty with bar level seating. She then had the temerity to say, "Go tell them to move, I'm too busy behind the counter". Umm, it's not my fault that you're understaffed and that puts me in an awkward situation.

We finally got a seat and realized that the "tastings" were $8, only included for sips (seriously, sips) of wine, and no glass. We bought a glass of wine, which took us another 20 minutes, and then decided to leave.

This place has a lot of potential, but it won't be in business long with poor...

Beautiful winery. Quaint, scenic, and classy. I loved all 4 wines I chose for my tasting. I love that you can sit inside or outside and that you can bring your own food (we brought cheese, meats, and crackers). The only thing that was off-putting was the owner's attitude to us about taking a picture of the menu to look at instead of looking at our own copy of the menu. She literally told me to do that while I was looking at the menu deciding what wines to get. It was very rude. I'm having a hard time seeing lately because of new contacts and looking at the menu on my phone would be miserable for me. Why not just make a few more copies of the menu so you don't have to harass someone about handing over the menu for someone else? The other employee didn't mind that the 3 of us at the wine counter all had our own menus to look at. She was very sweet and knowledgable when asked about the wines. She was the saving grace because the menu situation really had me feeling...

My wife and I really enjoyed our first visit here. It is a beautiful small winery with a very pleasant staff. The owners were there when we went and also were very welcoming and friendly. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the wines and guided us in our tasting selections with several questions about our preferences in wines. She did an excellent job as we thoroughly enjoyed all of our samples. The tasting are served in disposable cups due to the current situation, but still a generous pour. We purchased some crackers and an additional glass each as we quickly found some new favorites. The building is decorated very nice and the vines just outside are beautiful on the rolling hillsides. I would highly recommend stopping in for a tasting, you will be glad you did.

I had the most delightful afternoon at Fireclay Cellars in Siler City, NC, and I just have to share! This local gem is an easy drive from Fort Liberty, making it the perfect mini road trip. From cooling off indoors to relaxing under the fans on the covered porch or enjoying the patio with umbrella-shaded tables, the ambiance was absolutely charming. The vineyard views were stunning, and sipping wine right amongst the grapes was such a treat! I enjoyed a tasting flight and even tried some local mead – everything was delicious. If you’re looking for a relaxing day out, I highly recommend Fireclay Cellars. Follow along @mysuitcasedreams and make sure to plan a visit.
