
I was a bit shocked after seeing all the nice reviews. Honestly, I think SWEPCO should be ashamed of the run down nature of this trail, park, and so called amenities. The place was dirty, most of the nesting boxes are falling apart. A good portion of the labeled trees are dead and/or dying. They have never been pruned or maintained. There are dead limbs everywhere, probably a major danger of them falling on someone's head. The pavilions are run down. There were stations to sign in, and give suggestions, but nothing to sign in with. There was a plaque there about a man who volunteered and made it a better place, but he died in 2011. Read moreThis is a small park but it does pack a big punch. I visited in early November and the foliage was beautiful. The trails were smooth and wide and everything was clean and well-ordered. I am a photographer and shot a family photo session here. I could not be happier with the results. There are so many wonderful autumn tones here from the grasses and leaves and the natural wood structures and metal gates and fences nicely fleshed out the possibilities for posing and back drops. I will definitely add this place to my list of go to session locations and I also intend to return soon for some birding...
