Billboards are not allowed on this stretch of Minnesota Highway 23. This is an amazing drive through rolling hills and farms. There are more beautiful views as you cross river valleys. When you want to escape the rat race of I-35 between Duluth and the Twin Cities, get off the beaten path and enjoy the road less traveled without losing too much time. Speed limit is 60 MPH and there are very few towns to reduce speed. Stop to smell the roses, you'll live longer! Take the Banning Junction exit if you are heading north. From Duluth take Grand Avenue west out of town. Dedicated to the men and women of Saint Louis, Carlton and Pine counties who served during the World Wars. Thank you Veterans!
