Admittedly, I started off with this brewery on the wrong foot - when we first arrived here it turned out that the wine flights are poured only during the weekend. This was not immediately obvious based on their website. But when we got back on one weekend they made it up just by the quality of their wine.
I'm not a wine lover, so I found it hard to enjoy wines at several other wineries before. But the wines here are distinct and have their own flavor profile. They had 13 wines during my visit and you can order a flight of 4. So I tried all 13. My absolute favorite was Summer Red (Sweet Red) because it was bursting with multiple layers of flavor. The second was Three Sisters (Dry White) just because of its unique combination of berries in the flavor. The place also serves food. We ordered their pizza and it was ok, although the wait for it was really long.
The farm also has a store selling all kinds of things, including the ones produced in other places. There was always a line inside, so this farm is popular. There was also a concert going on during our visit. Overall, I will recommend this winery to anyone interested...
Read moreI did a tasting & purchased wine & other things a few weeks ago. Some of the wines were good, but customer service is lacking. Cashier had a problem with the Card machine- ran my card twice. In checking my Bank 2 days later- I was charged twice. When I called to get this rectified- I was told that I would have to go there for a refund & they could not do it electronically. I told the young girl that it was an hour's drive for me & this was a huge inconvenience. She said there was no other way.... So, I made the 2 hour, over 80 mile round trip- just to get MY money back. When I asked what they could do for me for my inconvenience- I was told that the cashier "didn't have the authority" to do anything. When I asked for a manager or owner- she looked at me blankly, & walked away! I emailed the Farm website a week ago.....still NO response. I will not be returning.......there are many other wineries & farms in the State to choose from. (BTW- I work for another winery in CT, & this would NOT be tolerated by...
Read moreAfter spending $50 dollars on wine and Charcuterie we decide to shop around their market. We shopped their produce and decided to not take the tomatoes since they rung up to $18 dollars for 5 and $14 for 2 peaches. The corn was incorrectly priced as their white board stated $7 for a dozen, it was missing a 1 to state $17 for a dozen- we still took the corn. As the cashier was placing the tomatoes and corn back the owner asked her why she was placing stuff back? To which she replied “They didn’t want so spend that much on tomatoes or peaches” and the owner said “They can drive a Mercedes but not afford paying for our stuff?”. The owner had been friendly just moments before, asking everyone how they were doing and inquiring about our wine while thanking us for our visit. This sudden change in attitude felt disingenuous, and I can’t support a business that treats customers...
