Clear Lake — Attraction in Sisters

This lake is named such for a reason, extremely clear water and beautiful surrounding areas! There's a great trail that goes basically all the way around the lake, and plenty of rowing boats to rent to enjoy time out on the lake. The water is COLD so if you expect to go swimming consider very carefully. This is a bucket list destination though, so make the trip happen! The campgrounds fill up extremely fast around here so day trip is probably a safe bet to enjoy the lake. However, there are also some awesome waterfalls in the area. A very special place to visit! Bring the sunscreen, sunglasses, and plan on a fun time in beautiful nature!

Beautiful lake and serene setting! I wanted to rent a kayak and they said they had 1 available so they told me to fill out a waiver which took me about 1-2 min to do. During this process I hear a group of 3 that came up after me trying to rent some for the day and the attendant ends up giving their 3rd the hourly kayak for a daily rental which I hear him say it's supposed to be an hourly but he will do that for them. When I tell the female attendant next to him I completed the waiver, she then tells me its no longer available and to wait until 1pm and to come back and ask if ones available then. My favorite lake of all. The history is amazing. Submerged trees that have stood under frigid water for 3000 years! It's not easy to comprehend that you're looking at trees that lived before Jesus walked the earth. It's not a lake to swim in. Unless you want to brave about 40 degree water. It's a glorious spot to quietly boat, no motors allowed, & to totally rest your soul. You can learn about this amazing place to experience on YouTube like I did.
