Mt. Washington Viewpoint — Attraction in Sisters

What I found most interesting was looking at the recovery from the wildfires from about a decade plus ago. The peak shape of Mt WA was interesting but because of cloud or smoke cover it wasn’t a fantastic view. But consider a friend said Mt WA didn’t exist it was also interesting to visually search later. Absolutely beautiful place to stop and take a break from a long road trip. There are informational boards to tell you about the mountains and the lake. Nice breath of fresh air. It wasn't too much trouble to get out of the turnout because the road isn't too busy or anything. Lots of benches to...

The Mt. Washington viewpoint is a nice little turnout on Hwy 22 with a shaded area to view educational signs highlighting a few interesting points about Mt. Washington and the burned forest and of couse the mountain itself. See photos for information...
