I absolutely LOVE this animal park! I'm A HUGE animal lover & my husband first took me there to cheer me up during my treatment for skin cancer all over my face. First, admission isn't expensive: adults 12 &up is $14.99 Kids 3-11 $11.99 Kids 2 & under are FREE Seniors 62+ $12.99 Season passes(good for 1yr from date of purchase): adults $40.99, kids$32.99, and 10% off 3-5 passes, 20% off 6+ passes. It includes discounts on animal feed, & 10% off everything in gift shop. The park is VERY CLEAN & you rarely smell any kind of 💩 smell! You walk at your own leisure/pace w out anyone breathing down your neck telling you what you can/can't do. The animals that won't actually EAT YOU are in nice enclosures where you can actually touch them, scratch them, & interact w them up close and personal. Even the buffalos like a good scratching beneath their ears! You can pet the kangaroos, they're very sweet & tame. On our last visit, there were about 8 mommas with their joeys in the pouch peeking out every now and then! The giraffes bend over the fences and you can hug, feed, and scratch them too! The male giraffe is actually the son of 'April the giraffe' that the world watched (via the news)in anticipation of her giving birth to her newest baby! They have TONS of baby animals, some of which you can touch and hold! They also have a petting area where kids and adults can interact when about 20 mini goats! They have A WIDE variety of different animals from across the world with educational plaques at each enclosure that clearly explain where each animal originates, what they typically eat in the wild, natural predators, &more. The staff are wonderful! They are kind, helpful, and never intrusive of your visit. I couldn't say enough positive things about this park! I recommend it for EVERYONE! It's now our FAV date night out! Oh, and all October the park is open until 11pm! They line the paths with tiki torches and you get to experience what the animals do at night(some are nocturnal so it's best to go after dark), but don't forget your flashlight cuz you'll need it! GREAT place for a date night(for those animal lovers), family outing, or just go by yourself and relax! Gets an A+ from me...
Read moreMy family and I went to this park and it was amazing. We have 3 little ones and it was just the right size to tire them out, but not have to drag them around for miles and miles. The animals seem so happy and tended to also. The kids loved being able to feed and pet most of the animals and the ride on the camel was the highlight of their day. The price is good too. On a side note: Bring an extra pair of pants for any kid or adult who plans on going into the feeding areas since the animals are so cool they will jump right up on you for a carrot or feed. It is awesome but their litle feet are dirty and your pants will get dirty too. Also it is $3.50 for a bag of baby carrots so if you have lots of kids, it is cheaper to bring your own. They have buckets of feed for $3.50 each also which the kids enjoy carrying around and feeding handfuls to the animals. The gift shop is believe it or not...not that expensive and full of cool stuff. The staff seemed super cool too. All in all it we had more fun here than at any big city zoo we have gone to. We are going to get a yearly pass from now on and plan on returning many times. Do not pass this...
Read moreI believe we paid $25/adult & $15/child but website says $15/adult. I could be wrong. Food to feed animals $3 cup, $2 bird stick, carrots I forget exactly but around $3, there's lettuce for couple bucks for feeding, $8 camel ride & $6 pony ride. Lemonade $11/cup. Private pictures holding a snake or baby kangaroo $14. We almost didn’t find a parking spot it was very packed on a Saturday. Even though it was hot, all the animals were out and interactive with everyone. A variety of animals but no lions, zebras, giraffes, but that's okay. A Shorter walk around park it’s about 1-2 hr visit when you stop to feed the animals. Lots of baby or younger animals. I feel bad the baby kangaroos for example are separated from their mothers, I assume it’s for people to be able to feed them separately, or hold them for pictures. Overall it’s a nice small park. I just spent more money with all the extra features + the gift shop. They also gave us a flyer for Halloween, they have 1/2 off specials if you bring a carved pumpkin, etc. it’s on their website. They have costume contests, etc. The day we went was a good day, everyone was happy, staff was nice. I’d like...
