Breezy Hill Meadworks — Attraction in Smithfield

Charming mead hall and excellent tasting at a bargain price - try all of their meads (15 varieties) for less than $9! Not to mention all the great information and history during the tasting. Ordered a few nibbles to have with our tasting, ham biscuit, pickled pig's foot, and pimento and crackers, also all a bargain. Meads are "semi-dry", dryer than most we've tried, a nice change of pace and some great floral/herbal options in addition to the traditional and fruit ones. Had a great visit today. Surprisingly, it was a great activity to do on a cold cloudy day. Had a free mead tasting, got to feed goats and a rooster, and also went on a nice winter forest stroll. The mead is dry, but there is still a great variety and some on the sweeter side. I will most definitely return to...
