We were disappointed in the apple picking selection. There was Cortland and McIntosh, but none of the trees were very mature and most were picked out (it's mid-October). The man mentioned there "might be" some Honeycrisp, but he knew better; there were two rows of Honeycrisp trees, none of which were bigger than 6 feet tall and of course they were picked clean. Two varieties? Really? Dozens of would-be pickers were wandering the rows in sad confusion. The farm has more mature trees, but they were reserved for the farm to sell in other ways, like at their mega farm stand with a line out the door. We left with just a few apples. That being said, their apple cider donuts and other pre-made goods are really good, if incredibly sweet, so go visit for those things-- just not the...

I went pumpkin picking today with my mother and daughter! This place was so busy!! Yet, it was not overcrowded. The pumpkin patch was huge!! They had tons of different sizes and shapes. We purchased 5 really good size pumpkins and it only cost $35! Not bad, right!? It was .69 cents per pound, to be exact. I thought I would be standing in line forever when it was time to go, however, the gentleman behind the scale was super fast! You can tell it was not his first day. The line moved at a very steady pace. Overall, this farm is worth the visit. Don't forget to check out the rest of the farm! They have an apple orchard and a nice marketplace setup. You will definitely have a...

I wanted to share one of my favorite fall activities! Jaswell Farms is always on my fall to do list, and I highly recommend it for Apple picking, and cider donuts. I save my calorie indulgence for this time of year) The farm is quite large with many trees, so you never feel too crowded while picking. They also have a great farm store with wonderful selections of items, including delicious jams and apple butter. YUM.

It’s refreshing to see a family farm, teaching kids good values at such a young age, as I noticed polite kids working hard to restock and maintain everything, all with a smile and a “good afternoon” If you happen to see them, give them a high five for...

My family went to Jaswell Farm to go apple picking. We got there about 10:30 and we were glad it wasn't crowded. We were so glad to easily get into their store because last year when we went there was a long line out the door to get in. We bought a dozen eats of corn. You can also pick pumpkins there. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was a bit disappointed that the Pink Ladies, Granny Smiths, and Red Delicious weren't ready to be picked, but they should be by next week, we were told. But their Cortland apples were huge and did not disappoint 😋. I made an apple pie later in the day and it was absolutely delicious!

Apple picking was a great first date activity. All staff were friendly and efficient at their jobs. Parking was easy at 10:30 but when we left at 12:00 it was packed (Sunday in October). Still all was well organized and would absolutely go back. Lots of families there and plenty of room for everyone to feel like they were there on their own, so to speak. Great bake shop with amazing treats!
