We were disappointed in the apple picking selection. There was Cortland and McIntosh, but none of the trees were very mature and most were picked out (it's mid-October). The man mentioned there "might be" some Honeycrisp, but he knew better; there were two rows of Honeycrisp trees, none of which were bigger than 6 feet tall and of course they were picked clean. We purchased 5 really good size pumpkins and it only cost $35! Not bad, right!? It was .69 cents per pound, to be exact. I thought I would be standing in line forever when it was time to go, however, the gentleman behind the scale was super fast! You can tell it was not his first day. You will definitely have a...
Read moreI wanted to share one of my favorite fall activities! Jaswell Farms is always on my fall to do list, and I highly recommend it for Apple picking, and cider donuts. I save my calorie indulgence for this time of year) The farm is quite large with many trees, so you never feel too crowded while picking. They also have a great farm store with wonderful selections of items, including delicious jams and apple butter. YUM.
