My family loves to come here for hikes with just us or with friends. At the trail head, we bear left to take the red loop and take it around till it meets up with the yellow. If you need a shortcut back to the trail head, go right when you reach the yellow trail. We go left to take the yellow trail loop around and back to the trail head. This combo is right around 1 mile - a great length for young kids (3 y/o+, the 2 y/o rides in the backpack carrier). The area is especially pretty in the autumn. There's also a nice open area near the trailhead with a little pool on the Woonasquatucket River which runs thru the area. Parking on on the widened road running adjacent to the entrance...

Beautiful place on Old Forge Rd in Smithfiled to take your dog for a walk. There are 2 trails. The Red trail is an easy stroll through the forest. The yellow trail is a little more challenging as there is an uphill element. Beautiful little brook running under a bridge. Great place to enjoy the outdoors, get some exercise and breathe some fresh air. My dog jumps in the car...

Nice little park! Love how rhode island is filled with these small gems hidden in the woods! This particular spot I swear provides one of the best photo backgrounds of a little forest creek I've ever seen. The rock formation is cool, and the paths are short but pleasant! Great park, but let's keep it small and quiet to preserve its...

Very well marked trails. Trails are bit hilly, with lots of tree roots. Both Red Trail and Yellow trail can be done individually or combined them as a single loop of about 1 mile. Both trauls are very well marked. Parking is on the roadside, but since this is usually not busy, finding one shouldn't be a problem.
