My family loves to come here for hikes with just us or with friends. At the trail head, we bear left to take the red loop and take it around till it meets up with the yellow. If you need a shortcut back to the trail head, go right when you reach the yellow trail. We go left to take the yellow trail loop around and back to the trail head. This combo is right around 1 mile - a great length for young kids (3 y/o+, the 2 y/o rides in the backpack carrier). The area is especially pretty in the autumn.
