Update 10/04/2019: We decided not to come this year and will no longer be coming here. This place used to be reasonable and affordable, now its not. The first time my husband, myself and our daughter came here in 2017 we paid just $14 for admission total, this year would've been our third time but after looking at their website we would've paid $38 dollars just for admission (not including the WA State Maze, food, or pumpkins)! Not worth it. If you read my reviews below you will find there is a lot to do here, however, it is ALL entertainment for the children- as an adult I don't want to jump in a bouncy house, go in a dusty kernal room, climb up a haystack, swing on a small tire swing, mine for mica, etc. The only entertainment adults might find enjoyable (The duck race, the very small petting zoo, the pig races) isn't worth the price. We used to drive 40 minutes out of our way to come here because it was the best around. On to the NEXT!
Update 10/22/2018: I still fully stand by my review. We did choose to do the corn maze this time but did not feel it was worth the $10 per adult and $4 for the kiddo. We literally spent 20 minutes to find our way out. If you're looking to have a bit longer in the maze start closer to the right side of the maze where the dropoff point is, if your wanting a shorter adventure, start on the left. Too, I'd like to add that they are VERY well staffed, and all their staff is kind, patient, and helpful Again, we'll be back next year!!
October 2017: We had a lot of fun at this fall festival. There were a ton of activities and it was not very expensive. We paid a little over $14 for our daughter to do all of the activities except the corn maze. I'm glad we didn't purchase tickets for the corn maze, which I think was an extra $8 if I recall correctly. Our 10 year old daughter would have just been too tired to do anything because the rest of the farm had so many activities. Spent $3 on 3 apple cider donuts. To be honest it was really greasy and I would not recommend them. My husband and daughter did enjoy their donuts, they agreed that it was too greasy but that a cider donut is part of the experience and they considered it still worth it. For me personally I would never order it again. We did have corn on the cob, we shared it between me and my husband and that was $3. I would definitely recommend the corn on the cob. We purchased a pumpkin pie and have not tried it yet...it was $18 for a full pie and looks delicious!
As for activities- Free: There was a 4 little pigs race, duck race, hayride, a pumpkin princess who walks around greeting little princesses, a petting zoo with donkey, bulls, and goats.
Included with $14 wrist band: Kids play area which had a giant corn kernal box for kids to play in, several large and fast slides but there is a small one for the little kids, tire swings, a mining area, a large bouncer like a bouncy house but without the house part. A carnival type game where you throw footballs into holes at the wall. A large haystack pyramid, a cow tractor train, and jumbo tractor replica bicycles.
Separate charge: pumpkin patch. We got one very large pumpkin and 3 medium pumpkins for $14. A steal of a deal.
We came here on Saturday at noon and it was a bit busy but not so busy it was uncomfortable crowded. We did have to park in the overflow lot but the property is so large and the employees manage it very well. I can tell this pumpkin patch is respecful of peoples time as it operates smooth and efficiently. The lines were long for food, slides, hayride and corn maze but don't be fooled because they move VERY quickly! If you do notice the line is short for food but aren't quite hungry yet, go buy the food you will want to eat later and come back with your food ticket later when you're ready without standing in the long line. I did not have to wait longer than a minute for a restroom each time I went. We were there for about 4.5 hours.
We will be coming back next year for sure. Don't even need to look somewhere else as we don't feel like we're...
Read moreI've been coming to the pumpkin patch at swan trail farms for about 10 years now. This year will be my last unfortunately. I just really feel like the whole experience was incredibly over priced. I understand inflation but this year just felt like a big difference. And ok I get paying for the wristbands for the kids but it seems a little extra that all adults have to pay to just supervise our children. The lines for food/drink were super long and then when we got to the front they were out of the stuff we wanted. To make it worse after we waited in line for caramel apples to find out they were out we settled on kettle corn and move past the register to wait for the kettle corn. Right then a batch of caramel apples gets delivered to the register. Literally as the next person behind us walks up to the register. The line was so long that even if we got back in line the apples would have been gone again by the time we reached the register. And that was after we had already waited in a different line for coffee. Then we had to buy the tickets online and wait in another line to claim them. 🙄 I don't know I was just overall unimpressed. And another thing is the coffee stand didn't have eggnog. That's a very minor detail but I just really look forward to an eggnog latte at the pumpkin patch because that's where I first discovered them. And the girl helping out/ working at the coffee stand didn't know anything about the coffee or what was in the drinks and was kinda snotty. After the cost of everything else we opted to just get pumpkins at Costco because they were 4 dollars for large ones that would have been like 20+ at the pumpkin patch. Maybe I'm just a cheap person or it's just because I have a large family... either way I don't think that a trip to the pumpkin patch should be 150-200 dollars WITHOUT pumpkins... It is a beautiful farm and the kids had fun doing the activities covered by the wristbands. Our family has a lot of good memories here over the years that's why I gave it 3...
Read moreMy husband and I got married at Swans Trail Farms earlier this month and we cannot say enough good things about the venue and the women who run it. We toured for the first time a little over a year ago and were struck by how many different, beautiful spaces there are. Throughout the year leading up to the wedding, Roxy and Carol were incredibly communicative and led the show in regards to requesting everything that they needed from us. They always responded promptly to questions and concerns of ours, as well. On the day of, Kim coordinated with our caterers, supervised the bar, and communicated with our day of coordinator to support set up and clean up. They left nothing for us to worry about on the day of the wedding, which allowed us to soak it all in and be present throughout the day.
We got super lucky with weather and were able to have an outdoor ceremony; our guests raved about the ceremony site that overlooked the pond and the corn fields. We had our reception in the partially covered barn and were so happy with how beautiful it looked with all of the venue's built-in lighting and decor, as well as the tables, chairs, and linens that they provided and set up for us. We used the outdoor space adjacent to the barn as our dance floor, which worked perfectly with our live band. Guests shared that they loved having space to walk around during the reception and there were so many lovely spaces (both indoors and outdoors) for photographs, as well.
I would recommend Swans Trail Farms to anyone taking a DIY approach to their wedding but still appreciate a little bit of support. We had the most wonderful experience and can't thank...
