We had an incredible time with the wonderful people of Baker Ranch. Our family came to Lava Hot Springs for a family reunion and we reserved a dinner and horse-drawn wagon ride as one of our activities. It didn't disappoint! They carried 4 wagons full of our extended family up to their beautiful little ranch in the mountains just a few minutes outside of Lava Hot Springs. Our son got to ride up front with wagon master - he loved it! We enjoyed a lovely dinner (I have Celiac disease and they were very accommodating with the meal and dessert to ensure they had gluten free options, so impressive - *thank you*) during dinner one of the gentleman played and sang some old classic country western tunes on his guitar. The kids got to roast hot dogs, which was an option, and they were able to play in a private little park area on their property. Then we enjoyed great conversation and a leisurely horse-drawn wagon ride back to the main ranch by their beautiful and impressive Belgian horses. It was a wonderful evening all around - well done, Baker Ranch!! We'd definitely go again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an experience while in the Lava Hot Springs area.

What an amazing experience! Went into it knowing very little about what to expect. The wagon ride was fun (especially for our kids, who were able to take turns sitting "shotgun" up front) and had gorgeous views. But the little space with dinner up the mountain was just the best: nestled down out of the sun, tasty raspberry lemonade to welcome us, an area with fun stuff for kids to play on... And then the dinner -- excellent food with live music! And Rex is about the friendliest, down-to-earth guy you'll meet. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience! Rex and Peggy Ann Baker have really created something special. Wagon takes you for a 40 minute ride, being pulled by two big beautiful Belgian horses named Doc and Chester. Doc weighs in at 1950lbs! Chuckwagon dinner and dessert was prepared and served with the freshest ingredients. Ambiance was great. Live music, fire pit, swings for kids and a creek flowing through their property. Simply Amazing.

We took the dinner wagon ride. It includes about a 40 minutes wagon ride to a pavilion/play area. Then they feed you dinner while listening entertainment. Then they take you back to your car.

I would say overall it was pretty good. The highlights were the entertainment(a country singer while you eat) and the food. The food was very good.

My only complaint would be that the wagon ride was very slow(it felt close to walking speed, I understand it is probably a safety issue) Also, much of the wagon ride is on asphalt which is not...
