Very large lake with plenty of access points. Many tributaries flow into the lake with additional access as well as places to explore. The water doesn't move so fast that a canoe or kayak can't paddle upstream fairly easily. TVA controls the lake levels but you can check their website for details on flows and reservoir levels.
