North Chickamauga Creek Gorge State Park — Attraction in Soddy-Daisy

Swimming available at many spots along the road leading in trail ( can be rocky and steep to get down to the water) The Hogskin loop trail has been re done and is not as rocky, drains better but still has a stout uphill.* Counter clockwise a good bit easier. At the top, once you cross the waterfall creek, go * LEFT & DOWNHILL to continue the loop trail. If the warning signs are on #3 it will be challenging across the 2 feeder creek crossings on this loop.As always pack it in pack it out ( + whatever else you can pick up) Stay hydrated as well. The hiking trail is good. They have red reflectors guiding the main trail. They also have access trails that lead down to the creek ( gorge ). Some of the trails leading to the creek can be difficult. But it's definitely worth it. We took our 2 big dogs down the access trails and had no problem. Plenty of space to enjoy my dogs in the water. They also have life preservers rings if you need them. Walking along the rocks in the creek was amazing!! Out of all the hiking trails we've been on, this is in the top 3. The sights were just awesome. There wasn't but just a few people that were there. No bumping into each other....

When we went we had so much fun the water was crystal clear and there was some areas that were a little more shallow but others were deeper so my daughter could practice going deeper but also when she ran out of breath she likes going to the more shallow areas I would recommend I bet our dog would have loved it is a bit of a long walk to get to the actual blue hole so I would recommend bringing some comfortable shoes so that the long walk would be easier we didn't know it was going to be that long of a walk.
