About an hour and 15 minutes for the full loop in a truck with a decent suspension. It's about 30 percent paved and the rest is dirt road. Quite a few washboard sections that can be a little rough. Pit toilets at about the halfway point and spotty cell coverage even with a...

Amazingly scenic loop. Sparsely traveled. Only saw about 6 or so other cars on the loop. Definitely download the nps app’s audio guide along the trail. Amazing views. Road is very smooth, I think any car can do it. We did it in a bmw...
