We were excited to try out Edmunds Park Disc Golf course on South Boston, VA. This course is definitely not for the faint of heart. It's really meaty with some decent 600-700' holes. About half of the 18 hole course is wide open, so bring your sunscreen and a hat. It's very picturesque and fantastic layout. Some of the shots are more technical in the wooded areas but it's a great place to try out a new disc or two also on the wide open holes. Beware during the summer months that my spouse was covered in baby ticks and chiggers after we left the course. So some good bug spray might also be ideal.

Great little park with a nice playground. There are plenty of eating tables with shade. It has a good size fishing pond (0.7 miles to walk around) and a disc golf course. I will definitely be returning to try that. Nice walking path around the pond as well. It has a botanical garden, but we did not make it over to that area.

I love bringing my kids to this park. There is a large playground, pound that always has ducks for us to feed, and lots of walking areas. There is volleyball nets, disc golf, and garden areas. It is a large beautiful place to go.

I love Edmunds Park. Bring your dog for a walk or your family for a reunion. Bring your kids to play on the playground or your partner out for lunch. You can get a pass through Parks and Rec to fish the pond. There are 18 holes of disc golf setup with Beginner to Professional level tees. Several picnic shelters are available but need to be reserved for high volume days like Fri-Sun. There are grills by the picnic shelters. They have a botanical garden and a community garden. People get married here. There have been memorial services held here. It's really good for anything and everything. They DO NOT have a baseball field, but you can still bring some gloves and a ball for some catch. Parks & Recreation has done a wonderful job with this park given the resources. Check it out, and share your...

Nice and expansive park with open areas, a goose-covered lake, shelters, and wooded areas. Three of us played the disc golf course and really enjoyed it. There are multiple tees for each hole with different drive distances and the course offers a good challenge with a mix of terrain and wooded/cleared areas. There is supposedly a driving range, but we didn't see anything other than an open field. There are two possible pins for each hole that move around, an A and a B. They're supposed to be indicated at the tee box, but several of them have the wrong one indicated, so look out for the actual pin, not necessarily what's indicated.

Overall, a nice park with a very good disc...

I enjoy open spaces and this park is ideal. Nice large picnic shelter available for parties. There's also a couple of smaller ones well suited for family picnics. The large pond is very photogenic and is a focal point for some local geese and ducks. Large playground for the kids is located near the large picnic shelter. If you enjoy disc golf, it appears to be a nice arrangement. The memorial is a nice addition that provides a quiet spot to honor lost loved ones. The botanical garden is also a nice addition with a trail that provides a good place to stretch your legs. Overall a very nice park well worth a visit whether you are a local or just...
