It's DadIt's Dad
Ladies and gentlemen, gather 'round for a review of the magnificent Denver Downs in Seneca, South Carolina, brought to you by yours truly, "Dad" Buckle up, folks, because we're about to embark on a wild ride of fun and laughter! Now, let me start by saying that Denver Downs is not your average farm. Oh no, my friends, it's a farm on steroids! This place has got everything: corn mazes, pumpkin patches, hayrides, and even a petting zoo. It's like the Disneyland of farms, except without the long lines and overpriced churros. And let me tell you, that's a win in my book! The corn mazes at Denver Downs are something out of a fairy tale. Picture this: you're lost in a labyrinth of towering cornstalks, trying to find your way out. It's like a real-life version of "Alice in Wonderland," except instead of a white rabbit, you're following the scent of kettle corn. Trust me, folks, it's a-maize-ing! But wait, it gets better! Denver Downs also offers pumpkin patches that would make even Cinderella jealous. I'm talking rows upon rows of plump, orange pumpkins just waiting to be turned into jack-o'-lanterns. I couldn't help myself from making puns like "Gourd-geous" and "Squash Goals" while I was there. I know, I know, my dad jokes are on toomuch! Now, let's talk about the hayrides. Picture this: you're sitting on a bale of hay, enjoying the fresh country air, while being pulled by a tractor. It's like a slow-motion roller coaster, except instead of loops and drops, you're surrounded by picturesque farmland. It's the perfect opportunity to take some family photos and show off your flannel shirts, folks! And of course, we can't forget about the petting zoo! Denver Downs has a menagerie of adorable animals just waiting to be cuddled and loved. From fluffy bunnies to friendly goats, it's a petting paradise. I couldn't resist cracking jokes like "This goat is really 'kid'-ding around" or "I'm 'baa-dly' in love with these sheep!" Oh, the groans and laughter that ensued! In conclusion, my friends, Denver Downs is a farm like no other. It's a place where you can get lost in corn mazes, find the perfect pumpkin, enjoy hayrides, and make memories in the petting zoo. It's a place where laughter and groans collide, and where dad jokes reign supreme. So, grab your flannel shirts, put on your best farmer hat, and head on over to Denver Downs for a day of fun and laughter. And remember, folks, always embrace your inner dad jokester!

Denver Downs is a staple of SC's upstate. My rating is relative to all the hype and expectations that need to be met with such a reputation. Largely, things are pretty good at DD. You'll have a great time, especially if it's your first time. They definitely need to attend to the bubble activity more (or at all) because by the end of the day, the buckets are too sudsy to make bubbles with. But my rating is 3* mostly due to the cost of things vs. the quality. At well over $100 to bring a family of four to the event, (cheaper if you buy online; 2 and under are free) to charge such an egregious amount for food at cafeteria quality is unacceptable. Pictured is $7.75 ($8 after credit card charge) for the chicken fingers you see. The corn dogs are $7 and thin. I understand staff have to be paid and inflation is a factor, but DD is ordering food with "economy to scale" pricing and there is no way that those corn dogs require more than $2 to produce. People spend a while at DD: there's a lot to do, they know people are going to stop and eat. Especially with kids. If the food must be this pricey, then to the owners: please at least try to make it easier on the palate, if not our stomach.

What a wonderful place! I’ve been to my share of pumpkin patch farms and this one is my favorite. We came on a Saturday after 3:30pm and stayed right about to closing (10pm). I wish we came earlier because there is so much to do! I was blown away at the amount of activities there are for all ages. Of all the activities we were able to fit in, only the paint ball shooting game was extra $, otherwise everything else was included in the entrance price. We paid about $200 for 6 people. I think it was definitely worth it. There’s several food options available. We had corn dogs, bbq nachos and funnel cakes. Overall good. 👍🏼 Corn maze was messed up, but I was expecting that as I read some reviews prior to coming. Drought & Hurricane ruined it this year. We had fun walking & running through in it anyway. Tons of stuff to do, lots of photo opportunities, impressively clean, plenty of bathrooms (portables), live music, bonfires to sit around, you’ll love it! We had such a fun day with our family! Will be back!

We were very disappointed in Denver Downs Farm. All advertisement is very misleading. Extremely overpriced. I love fall and fall activities and was so excited to go but left in a completely different mood. This place is only worth what you pay if you have small children. We paid almost 18 dollars per person to get in (which would have been ok if there was plenty to do for those without small kids). Anything that could have been fun for older kids and adults cost extra on top of what you already pay to get in. Gold mining (extra charge) Pumpkin patch (extra charge) 3 live music (was none when advertised there would) Hayride (3 min ride went in circle in open field)

We basically paid 18 for a mediocre corn maze.. NOT WORTH IT UNLESS YOU HAVE SMALL KIDS!!!!!!!

Entrance cost should either be lowered if they are going to charge more once you get in or only charge to get in and have all activities inside be included because I feel that we basically got scammed to get in the door only to find nothing much to do. It cost our family of 8 $140 to get in today. That’s a lot of money wasted to get inside and have very little to do.

This was Denver downs response to someone else that had the same complaint: Thank you for your feedback Jane. We hope that adults will enjoy the challenge of finding their way to all the checkpoints in the 10 acre cornmaze, enjoying our Silo Beer garden, and Bands on Friday and Saturday nights. Also adults can do: the ball zone, corn ball, teather ball, giant foosball, dodgeball, hayride, haybarn swings, pick flowers, and many other barnyard activities. And enjoy laughing at the Pig Races.Mostly we've had great feedback of adults enjoying a visit to our farm. All the best.

Here is my response back: Corn maze was only thing semiclose worth the cost to get in. Silo beer graden- I didn’t see but I’m assuming it was the bar in the middle of farm covered in lemonade signs. Band- was advertised for today oct 27 at 2pm. I got there at 1:45. No one ever got on stage. All of the “sport” activities were covered in 3-6 year olds. Definitely NOT something that was for adults lol. Trust me when I say there was NOT “many other barnyard activities”. Ok I’m done venting now but I’m sure I will be back to venting in the morning when I wake up and remember this one time that I completely threw away $140 at Denver downs (but hey atleast parking...

It was a delightful experience with two exceptions. My family was visiting me from the UK and they're not churchgoers (nor am I because of a serious immune disorder) they wanted Easter activities and I wanted outdoor spaces. It was a win-win for all of us until we decided it was lunchtime. My sister qued up in line to get our hotdogs and chips and I enjoyed resting my feet and legs. My nephew enjoyed the piped-in music and he spotted the live bunnies that were located about 50 feet from the stage for a live band. We finished eating and went to see the bunnies and we were all shocked at the state of the bunnies. They were shaking and had their ears flattened as far as they could go. My nephew was very distressed over it and wanted the bunnies moved immediately. I explained that I had taken a video of the bunnies and would send it to the appropriate place/person. They're used to more employees working events like the one Denver Downs was putting on, they'd approached a woman who was counting tickets and explained the situation to her, expecting her to call someone else over. We left and went to the next attraction. All in all, it's a great event just move the bunnies to a covered area near the ponies. He enjoyed it all but of all the things that I thought he'd hate, was the corn pit! He LOVED it! If the bunnies hadn't visibly scared to death, I'd have...
