Driving from Charleston to Savannah with my pups and needed to stop for my pups to go to the bathroom. I saw this nature center and decided to pull over here. I didn't expect this Edisto Nature Center is so clean!! It is also unique with wooden walking paths which kept my pups' little paws cleaner than walking on muddy trails. We only walked about 0.37 miles round trip. If I planned in advance and mapped it out, I would have walked further. This is such a nice park to hike. Read moreThis nature trail is so beautiful. It’s such a secluded nice peaceful walk. I will say I wish the boardwalk wasn’t so narrow. My friend and I did this with two dogs each and between them falling off the trail and us almost falling it wasn’t so enjoyable for some parts. Their were many birds singing but not many visible so we did a lot of identifying by ear. Lots of big mature trees, well marked trail and boardwalks were in decent shape. Beautiful swamp sections.
