Edisto Nature Trail — Attraction in South Carolina

Driving from Charleston to Savannah with my pups and needed to stop for my pups to go to the bathroom. I saw this nature center and decided to pull over here. I didn't expect this Edisto Nature Center is so clean!! It is also unique with wooden walking paths which kept my pups' little paws cleaner than walking on muddy trails. We only walked about 0.37 miles round trip. If I planned in advance and mapped it out, I would have walked further. This is such a nice park to hike. There was a sign saying that this site is monitored with security camera. I hope so because it is pretty quiet when I stopped by. I'm not sure how popular this...

This nature trail is so beautiful. It’s such a secluded nice peaceful walk. I will say I wish the boardwalk wasn’t so narrow. My friend and I did this with two dogs each and between them falling off the trail and us almost falling it wasn’t so enjoyable for some parts. We went here on a birding hike with a group and guide. I'm glad we had a knowledgable person with us. Their were many birds singing but not many visible so we did a lot of identifying by ear. Lots of big mature trees, well marked trail and boardwalks were in decent shape. Beautiful swamp sections. You have to walk a bit before getting away from hwy 17 traffic noise.
