Love that its an option but feel like its bordering on "abandoned" as far as maintenance goes. I feel like between location and size this park has TONS of potential that is not being tapped into. Huge soccer fields which is nice but makes the park fairly singular in purpose and with the MESA park competing against it I dont get it. Would love to see this park get some pickle ball courts and an updated walking path. It's surrounded by neighborhoods and they're becoming more and more "higher end" as time moves forward and this park is falling more and more into disrepair and disuse.

Large play areas with an abundance of fields, and large walking/bike trails to play on to have a day adventure, or wear the little ones out before bed time! Best part is the playground itself is surrounded by trees, making it cooler for the little ones to enjoy! The fields are large enough to have a game of soccer, football, or as we did, play frisbee.

Nice soccer fields. Walking trail / walking path is paved but needs maintenance. Watch for spots where the roots pushed up pavement. Can walk in .25 mile circle around soccer field, and a larger loop as well. Easy to access from parking lot. Good for seniors, good to walk dogs.

Update 6 years later, still dangerous, loose dogs will attack your dog as you walk them on a leash. There is a leash restriction in this park and a county wide leash law. Contacted animal control many times, no response and no action. Worried about small children, they could be the next victim, owners are aggressive if you ask them to put their dog on a leash.

Dangerous, We live in the neighborhood next to this park and we thought this would be a great place to walk our dogs. But unfortunately there are way too many loose, off leash dogs running thru this park. We have been confronted many times by these loose dogs coming after our dogs that we have on a leash. I have even been attacked by a dog owner when his off leash dog came after my leashed dog and I push the dog away from mine. I am afraid some of the kids playing here in the park are going to get attacked or bitten by one of these loose dogs. Greenville County has a leash law but no one pays attention and its getting real...

There are 6 soccer fields at this well-maintained facility. It is conveniently located off Pelham Road near the Roper Mountain Science Center. There is adequate parking for regular games but it gets crowded during tournaments. There is handicapped parking and wheelchair access to the public restrooms. There is a snack bar but it is run by one of the teams so it is not always open. There are no bleachers but there is plenty of room on the sidelines to set up chairs or a blanket. There is a small play area with things for the small children to do. There are lots of restaurants along Pelham Road. Several are suitable for taking a winning team to celebrate. I would give Pittman Memorial Park...

Nice park. Great vibe & sense of "community" happening here - group playing soccer on one field, group playing kickball on another, group playing frisbee on a third while kids were playing on the shaded playground and folks were walking their dogs along the paved loop path on a nice summer Sunday afternoon. It could use some TLC from Greenville Parks & Rec though. Path is very unlevel and broken up, no nets on rusty soccer goals, no dog waste stations/not enough trash cans, no benches, older playground equipment, unattractive restrooms. Lots of potential here - well utilized park could use some...
