I have been coming here since I was a kid. I have always enjoyed my experience. It is a wonderful place to bring children and dogs! In the summer everyone can hang out on the rocks and in the water. [ DO BE ADVISED THAT THE ROCKS ARE SLIPPERY FROM ALGAE. DO NOT LEAVE DOGS OR CHILDREN UNSUPERVISED THEY CAN FALL INTO THE RIVER! ] With that being said there is a nice trail to walk with everyone, plenty of area for picnics and pictures! I have seen a TON of people take absolutely astonishing wedding pictures here. There are NO RESTROOMS HERE, but there are plenty of shops and stores about five minutes down the road in Spartanburg City Eastside. Use the bathroom before you come! We came on a weekend visit and it was pretty empty, in the summer it is definitely busier but don't hesitate to visit this beautiful sight and learn about the history of...

All in all it's a nice place to sit and think and maybe have a picnic. Just make sure you clean...

There are several "waterfalls" and lots of shallow areas that you can walk through. Lots of rocks and interesting areas to explore. My son loved it. On a hot day, the cool water is perfect. I recommend wearing shoes with some grip on them if you decide to walk through the water; the rocks are a bit slippery. But this place is absolutely worth a visit...or multiple visits! Our family will make it a...
