This was one of the best golf experiences I have had. Yes, it’s expensive, but I found it to be worth the price at the end of the day. First off, we got lucky and the place was empty so it felt like we had the course all to ourselves. We could play at a comfortable pace and take in the gorgeous scenery. The course itself was beautifully maintained, a couple of tee boxes could use some work but the fairways and greens didn’t have a blade out of place. I especially loved the signature holes 9, 14-15, and 18 they were such unique designs. The service and people were first class, we felt welcomed and almost like the staff was honored that we had chosen to play their club it truly was amazing hospitality. From Patrick at the bag drop holding our suitcases all day, to Mike the starter giving us great tips before we teed off for the day and the whole clubhouse staff was tremendously kind and gracious. Maybe we got lucky with the day we chose to play as far as weather and it being slow on a Sunday but from start to finish our whole group kept mentioning how great of a day and course it was

Wow! Had the privilege of paying $320 for an average Course (at best). Expecting fast pace - we waited on every hole! Actually, Our group played as a nine-some for the last few holes. We still waited 20 minutes on both 17 and 18 tee box. As the NINE of us were on 18 tee, the ranger drives by and tells us how good the pace of play was for the day!? The cart service was great, if your definition of great is not getting service! Wait, I embellish! She drove by us on 18 tee box! So to be clear, we say the cart service 1 time all day! And it was on 18 tee box. We expect to pay more for Kiawah courses, but this is a $100 to $150 green fee course, NOT $320. Also, there are alligators on EVERY course in Kiawah!! Here is the pic of 9 of us waiting on 18 tee.

There’s truly nothing like Kiawah! Oak Point was an absolute blast from start to finish. The course is meticulously maintained, with a stunning layout that challenges your game while still being fun and enjoyable. The marshland views and natural scenery are breathtaking — it’s the kind of course where you stop to take in your surroundings, no matter how your game is going. Even if your score isn’t what you hoped for (trust me, there were moments šŸ˜‚), the beauty of this course makes it all worthwhile. Oak Point has that perfect balance of challenge and charm. The greens roll true, the fairways are generous, and the staff makes you feel right at home. Don’t think twice — book your tee time and play! You won’t regret it.

The course itself is very pretty with lots of alligators and different species of birds. It was in very good condition as well. The big drawback is the starter. He could not have been more rude. When we made the turn and went in to the clubhouse to use the restroom and get a quick hod dog, he chased us down and asked if we were going to play 10 or let the group behind us play through. So we did not get our quick lunch but instead rushed out to number 10x Meanwhile the group behind us was just starting number 9. We did not hold them up all day. Then on number 16, a woman came out and told us we were behind pace. We asked what their pace was and she replied 4 hours. We finished the round in 4 hours and 10 minutes while staying a full hole to hole and a half in front of the group behind us. This isn’t Oakmont CC that has a strict 4 hour pace. It would be a much better experience with a...
