The Ultimate Driving Museum — Attraction in South Carolina

Edit- 05/27/2025 I made my second trip to the museum while attending “The Vintage” show 2025, this time it was held in Hendersonville at the airport. This time the museum was featuring the Alpina exhibit. Whoa!!! Incredible cars!!! I must say I am never disappointed leaving here. Some cars I will never see except for an event like this.. thank you BMW CCA!!! If you can’t find your way here, buy an old BMW and bring it to the car show the weekend before Memorial Day in North Carolina, then drive your old BMW to the museum to see some awesome cars. Buy a CCA membership too.

We wanted to see the MINIs to the Max exhibit at the BMW Ultimate Driving Museum before it leaves in January. Our trip was WELL worth it. The staff were warm and informative. They were genuinely glad to be able to talk about the cars with us. There were over 30 MINIS presented chronically, track cars, specialty cars, etc. MINIs were donated by local enthusiasts who had lovingly made their beautiful cars uniquean official MINI Rule! The exhibits were well curated from the cars to display cases to memorabilia to the wall photos and posters. There was also a fun, reasonably priced gift shop. Out of the two of us that went Im more the car person. This was well worth the trip for me. They have certain exhibits it looks like though the year. We caught the end of the Alpina exhibit, I think. It was very interesting. I swear when my GPS told me to turn, I thought it got me lost but its back a bit which was fine. They have one BMW out front in the circle. I didnt see it til we were leaving and didnt get a photo of it, the the inside was great. They have so much stuff in that space. It does cost but its not a crazy cost, and it has parking.
