I've lived in and around Spearfish, and never stopped by, even though I had always thought about it. Decided one day on a whim to finally go check it out! I am so glad I did. Its a beautiful little art gallery. The artist makes incredible pieces on surfaces you would never imagine and the amounts of details and colors packed within each piece is phenomenal. Lynn was incredibly helpful and gave the perfect amount of background to grab your attention, if your attention wasn’t already grabbed walking in the door! Small space but every inch of it is so unique. Even got to meet the artist! Very down to earth guy, kinda silly in a wise old man way. On a Dakota road trip, we decided to stop here to break up the drive. This was one of the best stops I've ever made on a road trip.
The art is incredibly unique. It's the first time I've ever seen anything like this. They are also experimenting with VR to reproduce how the artist sees the art in his own mind. It was a brand new experience for me.
