It's a great hike for adults, or teenagers, but for kids under probly about 14-15 it's pretty dangerous. The first time going up the mountain was yesterday, and my 10 year old was with me. She fell on some rocks, and nearly broke her wrist. If you think your kids can handle it, then have fun, but it's a bit risky for 10 year olds. Very rocky path, and obviously a little steep. Just be careful with your children going up the mountain. I'll go back on my own for sure though!! Since we didn't even get a quarter of the way up....

The view is nearly 360 degrees when you're on top and you'll definitely want to take pictures.
I would go in the afternoon, that way the main path is shaded so you don't get wicked over...

Fantastic views north towards Monadnock in NH (on a clear day) and south towards Hartford, CT. Great to climb with kids. Parking lot fills up early on the weekends, so best to climb it...
