St. Iakovos Greek Orthodox Church — Attraction in South Haven

If I could give this church a zero I would . I was very disappointed with my recent visit . We had just adopted two girls and wanted to take them to the Greek church to experience the culture and our faith . Unfortunately the priest did not fulfill this . As we walked up at the end of service the priest asked if we had attended the church . I said a few times and he turned around in front of the children and told me I was a “bad mother “ for bringing them more often . People go to church for many reasons . This priest assumed many things and insulted me in front of my children . He was not very welcoming or professional in any manner . I understand he wanted to being more people to the church but insulting a first time mother in front her children was not very good . I will never step foot in this church and will be looking for another Greek Church in the area where there is...

Fr. Jim(my fellow Cubs fan) is undoubtedly one of the most humble men I've yet to meet. The church is such a soothing place. The moment I walked in I felt peace.
