Beautiful beach! It's a little out of the way down a long dirt road, but very worth the trip. If you go from April-Sept, you can expect parts of the beach to be roped off due to plover nesting and dune restoration. Even though the beach is smaller at certain times of the year, it's still a wonderful place to sit and watch the waves or hunt for rocks. We found SO many amazing stones there. Just a note that parking seems like it can be a bit of a pain. It's street parking, no lot, and during the summer you need a resident pass to park before 4pm. There's lots of signage warning of tickets & towing if you don't have a pass. We went in the early evening (after 4) and had no issues.

First time at this beach. Came in search of some moon rocks and we were not disappointed. Lots of moon rocks as well as other kinds of rocks, some with crystals in them. Roped off for the summer due to the plover bird being protected as they nest, so from around April to September, it's a very small beach. But would recommend if you're in the area.

We went here to find some cool rocks and spend some family time. Easy parking, short walk to the store, quiet on the Monday we went. There’s a bit of debris but my kids has fun building with it. We saw birds and even a sea lion! During the summer I guess you need a parking pass.

Off season, this is a great place. The bird sanctuary does not allow dogs, so we ended up here.
