Growing up I loved coming up and camping here. I'd wake up at first light and walk to the lake to fish. I always would catch something. I loved it and have many fond memories here as a child. Naturally I wanted to bring my own children here and have several times over the years. We usually go swimming if there's not too much thunderstorms. I hooked some very big fish in this lake most of the bigger ones got away. If you work your way around the lake you will definitely hook up some rainbow trout for dinner. Shore fishing is very good. Read moreBeautiful place for a hike. There is a trail that goes around the lake - about 4.5 - 5 miles and takes about 2 - 3 hours to complete. We stopped to take in the views, listen to the wind and streaming water. I would put the trail at medium, as there is some boulder climbing to get over the path, and part of the trail is not yet cleared from fallen trees and broken bridges due to snow fall. We went during early summer and there were still lots of flowers and water running in the streams. The trail was shaded most of the way by trees. There are many stopping places with fantastic views.
