Bordua Farms — Attraction in South Windsor

I hired Bordua Farms in 2019 as our florist for our 2020 wedding. As we all know, COVID impacted a great deal of weddings and small businesses. When my fiancé and I started rethinking our wedding for the health and safety or our guests, I reached out to Corrine Bordua to let her know and see if we could work something out for a new date. After careful consideration, my fiance and I decided to postpone our 2020 wedding to 2021. When I contacted Corrine, I gave her amble notice about the postponement. She let me know that they were unavailable to perform on our new date not because they were already booked but because they did not want to reschedule and instead wanted to retain the deposit.

The amount of the deposit was very unreasonable and any bride considering Bordua farms should take this into consideration as it is 50% of the total contract. It was not my intention to request the full deposit back since I did not want to create an hardship for either party, but I felt it was just and reasonable for me to ask for 70% of the deposit back especially considering that Bordua Farms had not incurred any expenses or performed any services prior to the date of postponement. Rather than work with me, Corrine belittled me and told me I didn't value small businesses and her work. After repeated attempts to contact her to come to a resolution, Corrine shut me off and refused to reconcile.

BE AWARE OF BORDUA FARMS! If you run into any issues with them you will be taken advantage of. They are more worried about taking care of themselves...

We are on our 3rd year as CSA members and could not be happier! CSA pick up has become one of our favorite things to do when the season rolls around. For us, a 30-minute drive to the farm is well worth the fresh fruits/ veggies, friends and flower garden. PYO flowers is a huge highlight of our weekly trips. But, to top off the experience.. Corrine and Justin are now serving Birdhouse coffee, lemonade and home baked goods from their coffee cart! We look forward to each visit, as Bordua Farms is just buzzing with good...

Love shopping local. I go to their stand multple times a week when it is open. Always fresh and beautiful looking produce and flowers. Love the venmo too so if i don't have cash can still go crazy cause i always get more than i anticipated. Also open til 6:30 so can get there after work. Thank you...
