this is a great park and we loved coming here, met lots of nice people and dogs however we've decided not to return after a bad experience with a clueless irresponsible owner of an aggressive 75lb doberman pinscher that chased our 25lb 10-month old puppy and nipped at her neck, thankfully no injuries resulted and there were 2 good samaritans who blocked the doberman as the owner of the doberman just stood there and said 'sorry' doing nothing to help get her dog under control, admittedly the doberman was playing but my dog didn't know the difference and interpreted it as an act of aggression, it easily could have escalated to a fight and injuries - if you go here be warned; there are clueless owners who bring aggressive dogs - however this is a fantastic park and the owners+operators, O&G Ind., deserve alot of...
Read moreBest and only dog park in Connecticut, that I know of, where dogs could run through ten acres of park and trails and the topper is the river that borders the park. If your puppy never swam before he will learn here by watching all of the other dogs playing and swimming in the river. Many river bank spots for the pups to have their own favorite spot. Also don't forget the main attraction, the park entrance itself. A separate area to enter for small and fearful dogs in their own corrall, which is pretty big; built by local boy scout troop. Then the entrance to the main park opening to four or more acres of open grass and benches before the woods, trail and river. All maintained by the people visiting and volunteers so please pick up...

After like a hour I noticed her breathing changed but her breathing was kinda weird all the time so I didn't think much of it. The situation escalated in less then ten minutes. Lucy was weazing now and I'm a 12 year old girl so of course adults won't listen to me. We brought her to the shade she wouldn't drink water and weazing got worse she then countinued to throw up foam and then layed down. The adults that came with me were rushing her to the car and I knew she was dead. If only the park had more shady areas maybe my poor sweet Lucy will still be here countinuing to make our...
