Bauervic Woods Park — Attraction in Southfield

I love Bauervic. I was very happy to see that the parking lot was filled in so that it is easier to park there. But the trails are not being maintained. Since early spring, the trails have just gotten more overgrown. With the new millage just passed in Oakland county, I really expected that at least the paths would be clear and finally the mulch would be put down. If you don't know your way, you can't even tell where some of the trails are. Signage is confusing and many are missing. There are so many roots sticking out of the ground, jagged broken off trees, and grass, plants, and vines overtaking the paths, that it's dangerous. I hope that this will get handled soon, it's already September. I really like to walk there late fall through this winter and into the spring. I really love Bauervic and I want to see it maintained so everyone can safely enjoy this hidden...

We visited this park for the first time yesterday and it did not disappoint! We went around lunch time and there were a handful of other kids. This park has 2 playground structures, one for ages 2-5 and the other for 5-12. The larger structure, for older kids, is partially shaded.

This park is surrounded by trees, which is nice and there appear to be trails which we did not venture off to. There are plenty of picnic tables and trash receptacles, as well as a porta potty on-site. There are also benches facing the playground surrounding the park. The parking lot is gravel and there aren't too many parking spaces.

This particular park is full of large and small playground activities. Benches to sit on for the parents. Southfield police ride through the parking lot and check out the park activity. For everyone’s safety. I was surprised and felt good about that. Any who the children will have a blast ! This is a popular park because cars remained coming and going.
