This lighthouse is closed to the public and can be seen from nearby Hendrick's Head Beach. I climbed out on the seaweed covered rocks to get photos. Not recommended unless you're agile and have good balance.

Its closed to the public but it is my favorite lighthouse and place to take pictures of from a boat. Every time I go by it I have to stop and snap a photo. Looks like a painting its so breathtaking 😍

Can get a photo from Hendrick’s Head Beach. Worth the stop if you are in the area!

Description
Hendricks Head Light is a lighthouse in Southport, Maine marking the west side of the mouth of the Sheepscot River. The light station was established in 1829, and its present structures date to 1875. It was deactivated in 1933, but relit in 1951. The two-story wood keeper's house is now a private summer residence.
