A nice nature spot that is overrun with broken pieces of glass and other trash. Always someone else there. Water is fairly shallow. The greenery is nice. Hike is treacherous. Not handicap accessible. Proximal to downtown Southwick. Small parking lot the has some broken glass, be mindful and be prepared to visit again another time if its too crowded and the lots full. Try ans bring a trash bag when you visit, to carry out your own waste (obviously) but also to carry out the ample trash already there. Graffiti on rocks, skillfull artists. Worth a visit, or a few, so long as you help preserve the integrity for future...

Back in the 60's and 70's this was one of the best kept secrets in the area. Skinny dipping was common and safe as was camping. It was mostly locals who frequented the area but over time the word got out and it has now been overrun by visitors from outside the area. What was once a pristine local hideout, is now overrun with people, litter and dog poop. There are other spots in W. Mass that still have retained their pristine beauty and privacy. I prefer to remember the gorge as it once was and not what...

I just went yesterday to this place for the first time this year 2020 and what I notice is a lot of people drinking alcohol being loud leaving trash everywhere sad but they need to have some authorities down there checking these people out... any other time I would have give this place a five-star it used to be a lovely peaceful place to enjoy with family...

It's a beautiful, peaceful, natural place. Please leash your dogs if you insist on bringing them. And if you're going to bring them, clean up after them. Please take nothing but pictures and memories. And leave nothing but footprints and good vibes. There are very few natural places left and we should take care of them so future generations can enjoy them as well.

Amazing hidden gem. Very serene and relaxing. We stayed in the small pools near the entrance which were perfect for our family with small children. Others mentioned if you walk further up the path there are deeper pools with cliff jumping. The water is very clean and refreshing. It flows from the Granville reservoir which is protected so it stays pristine.
