From the moment we stepped onto the farm at Rustic Roots Sanctuary, we felt an overwhelming sense of peace. It truly is a hidden gem. Truly a little slice of heaven tucked away in Spanish Lake. The atmosphere was calm, restorative, and inviting.

The people at Rustic Roots were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Each one was eager to share their passion and purpose. As we toured the sanctuary, we were amazed by the intentional care given to every inch of the land, from the animals and bees to the pond, vibrant herb garden, rain garden, and the thoughtfully cultivated medicine garden complete with su dial.

One of the most inspiring aspects of Rustic Roots is their commitment to food justice. They offer garden plots for neighbors to grow their own food and run a food program that brings fresh, healthy produce to an area lacking adequate grocery access. It’s clear that this farm is more than just a beautiful space. It’s a community lifeline rooted in sustainability, wellness, and equity.

Talk about therapeutic... peaceful and serene.💯% A hidden gem that's both a treat and treasure to behold. There's so much to see & learn...and I know I learned at least 12 different plants that surround the circumference of my home. And the one that I had been so curious about (was-is ) my nemesis...the Cleaver plant. That green sticky -prickly vine like plant that clings to flowers and plants, and you & your clothes. You really don't pay attention to it until you have to cut the grass... or for some, mow the lawn...or do a little gardening. Overall it was an awesome and great experience!! I love this farmer's market. Open at the end of the day, on Wednesdays, and in my own neighborhood too. Every one is very nice. There's music, food, lotions, salves, poetry books, children's books. I saw people getting a relaxing massage. Fruits and vegetables, fresh eggs, relishes, elixers. Hot dogs. I've never seen a large crowd there. The atmosphere is very welcoming, lots of smiling faces. If you wanted to you could sit by a firepit. I highly recommend it. I hope to...
