La Sal Lookout Point — Attraction in Spanish Valley

Worth the drive - we were heading from 70 to Moab and had some time to spare, so we decided to take UT-128 instead of US-191, and detoured through Castle Valley. We weren't quite sure what to expect, but this was just one of several places affording spectacular views of the surrounding area. The drive up here is absolutely gorgeous and very different than driving anywhere else in Moab. There are a lot of different types of trees, the weather is much cooler, and there's significantly more wildlife. The lookout point itself is stunning; it really gives you an idea of how vast and varied Utah is. We were the only people there when we went, so it was very peaceful.
