I think this place is beautiful. We love stopping here to have a picnic or walk around the pond. Although, there is a good reason why I give it 4 stars. This place is haunted at night. Me and my boyfriend was driving through taking night time pictures on the parkway. We was about to pass this place and I saw someone standing at the pullover and there were no cars. As our car headlights came closer, this person had on a long white hooded cloak. I didn't see their hands, feet or face because they were standing to the side. This person casually walked over the pullover and disappeared as we were driving up to the pullover. We pulled in as soon as the person walked over the pull over and shined a flashlight down in that direction. There was no one there. This person had nowhere to hide that fast. It was just a grassy bank and the pond. It freaked me out because this was the first ghostly apparition I have ever seen. Their long white hooded robe wasn't of this time period. Read moreThe area was clean and quiet other than an occasional car passing by. We were able to enjoy our packed lunch on one of the several picnic tables. We chose the one that allowed us to listen to the water flowing from the pond. There was access to walk around the pond and so we did. On the back side we discovered a flowing stream. It was pleasant experience in lieu of traveling to the area to visit Stone Mountain Park only to get turned away due to the filled capacity. We'll try again for the park but savor the memories we...
