The garden boasts a wide variety of botanical life. From ferns to hydrangeas, there are many different plants to take pictures of or appreciate as a plant lover. The atmosphere is very calm and tranquil making it a nice place to walk and take a moment to relax and enjoy yourself there are many benches and seats along the many trials where you can even sit and rest for a moment just to listen to the birds as they chirp away.
I hope have some criticisms, some of which aren't even to the fault of the garden themselves, however there is a small selection of actual flowers, as the Garden is primarily populated with greenery. I'm sure there are different times of the year when different plants bloom, regardless you may be disappointed of you go expecting to see big bright flowers. There are plaques placed within the garden identifying some of the plant life, however there are a good many plants that are left unnamed, or without much information. If you'd like to learn more about the plants you may see along the way, I recommend getting Google lens from the Google play store. Google lens allows you to take a picture of the plants you may see, and then will give you a result based on what it sees, and many times, it will give accurate information on the specific plant you see. It's great if you like to study botany, so that you can lean about the scientific fact of some of the plants you see.
Lastly, airplanes can and will fly over the garden, though that's not something the garden can really control, just keep in mind you still may hear a jet engine or two while trying to enjoy the...
Read moreThis place is so beautiful and serene, it has countless peaceful spots off the trail to sit and just be with nature, several spot by running water, a bridge over a waterfall, gazebos, it even has a small outdoor classroom area, there are new areas being built right now. It's well taken care of, it has educational board that teach children about the ecosystem. It even boasts a few dirt trails as well. Children love it, it's fenced in so only one side of it is open making it feel quite safe. There are public bathrooms at the entrance (not port-a-jons), almost the entire forest is under shade so it stays cooler than outside the garden. Even tho ur right next to a VERY busy road, on the other side of people's backyard, it feels as if your just in a place of beauty and peace.
My only suggestion, would be to make some kind of system with signs and designated areas for peaceful meditation that has a way for people to make it known via an adjustable sign at start of walkway to designated area that let's people know they are meditating and have requested to not be disturbed. Not saying to make it some kind of rule to be enforced, more like an honor system honored by those who have respect which are the kinds of people who come to places like that. It gives the person who like to meditate in nature a safe and beautiful place to do so and the ability to let others know without having to say anything that they are there and requesting to not be disturbed. I think that's a...
