When you’re booking a wedding venue. Probably the first thing you’ll do is look for the negative Google reviews followed by the positive.
You want to to get your moneys worth and nobody blames you, weddings are very expensive especially in 2023.
I have been a wedding videographer for 6 years now. The Barn at Sandcastle Farm is one of the first venues I ever shot at. I have watched the venue grow year after year.
This venue In my opinion is a true southern Barn style venue. It gives you a very grassroots vibe and I think exemplifies what a barn venue should be.
There are many wedding venues in NC that have Barn in name only while they’re actually modern architecture.
This is a True Barn venue, I know this because it had barn doors!
I’ve become great friends with the Owner of the Barn over the years.
As a videographer, the staff is great in terms of working with me to help me get the shots in need.
I have nothing bad to say about The Barn at Sandcastle Farm. It has always been one of my favorite venues to shoot at. Not because it’s a Barn but because it’s a good experience each time.
Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a Barn style wedding venue in the Dallas NC area!

Read moreSebron and her staff was the best for my son’s wedding weekend. We were to have their wedding at their venue but with Hurricane Helene coming thru it changed the plans because the roads to their place were flooded but their venue still had power and was in good condition. I know that made it hard for Sebron to make the decision of moving location, first time in her 8 years. Sebron found us another location with 6 hours before the wedding, she had her staff there helping in every way possible. She had staff waiting on people at the original location to let them know where the new location was. She stayed with us until the end. She told the bride and groom she had a cancellation, and they are welcome to plan a party that night. Where they can come in and take pictures and have a good time. Even though the wedding wasn’t at The Barn at Sandcastle Farms, I would still highly recommend them just to be able to work with a great staff, staff that you know will take care of every detail for your wedding day even when...
Read moreThis venue is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous don’t get me wrong but the owner/coordinator was not willing to communicate or listen. I reached out to this venue for a rental space only for a reception. Online they offer event scheduling for party’s and celebrations. We do NOT plan to have a ceremony and would not need the bridal bungalow, the groom den, ceremony benches, catering, or time at the venue for rehearsal. Why would someone pay for 175 guests for a whole wedding ($3,900) when we only have 50-100 guests and only want a reception. If they offer event scheduling hourly ($800 for 51-99 guests for 4 hours $150/hour extra if needed) they should stick by what they offer instead of telling someone they don’t offer that service for weddings when I explicitly tell them we aren’t scheduling for a wedding. This place isn’t very coordinated when it comes to communicating with customer needs and what...
